I am sorry if I immediately jumped to political division if you weren’t meaning it that way.

I just have very little sympathy with people who complain about Trump or republicans being divisive, because I feel that all Trumps “hateful rhetoric” is simply a backlash to years of Christians, men, and white people being attacked in politics and mainstream culture. I don’t know you well enough to be sure of this, but in my experience people who hold your position on these things see nothing wrong with politicians and the media unfairly criticizing people who they see as being the enemy, and yet become violently offended when a taste of the same hateful talk gets directed back at them.
